CENTRALIZED ATTENDANCE AND HR MANAGEMENT FOR 1,500+ EMPLOYEES AT QUASEM

Quasem Industries PLC, located at Icon Centre, Dhaka, manages multiple concerns under the Quasem Foundation, including eye hospitals, Quasem Lamps Ltd, and Quasem Foods Ltd. With 1,500–2,000 employees spread across different floors and locations, ensuring accurate attendance tracking and workforce oversight was a growing challenge.

PROBLEMS / CHALLENGES

Before implementing Tipsoi, Quasem Industries faced several workforce management issues:

  • Inadequate Attendance Tracking: Employees were using different Chinese devices connected to their internal system, which still could not provide comprehensive monitoring of attendance or field activities.
  • Lack of Centralized Monitoring: With employees spread across multiple concerns and locations, supervisors had no single platform to monitor attendance, mobile punch, or field visits, leading to inefficiencies and limited accountability.

This solution transformed Quasem’s workforce management, providing centralized control, accurate reporting, and streamlined HR operations across all concerns.

SOLUTION

To address these challenges, Quasem Industries implemented Tipsoi’s cloud-based HRM and biometric attendance system along with Tipsoi’s devices:

  • Advanced Biometric Devices: Tipsoi deployed FastFace 5 Lite, SIM-based TF80, Prompt P40, and Prompt P205 across Quasem’s multiple locations, ensuring accurate attendance tracking and smooth identification.
  • Centralized HRM Software: All attendance, field
    visit entries, mobile punch attendance, and
    leave management are now managed through
    Tipsoi’s cloud-based system, allowing
    supervisors to monitor employees from a single
    platform.
  • Real-Time Monitoring: Supervisors can now
    track attendance and field activities in real-time,
    improving accuracy and accountability.

IMPLEMENTATION

  • Strategic Device Installation: Tipsoi installed fingerprint and face recognition devices across Quasem’s locations, tailoring each deployment according to the specific requirements of hightraffic and low-traffic areas to optimize recognition speed and accuracy.
  • Supervisor Training: Hands-on sessions ensured supervisors could access, interpret, and act on reports efficiently, embedding the system into daily operations seamlessly.

RESULTS / IMPACT

With Tipsoi’s system in place, Quasem Industries experienced immediate benefits:

Urban Furniture is a furniture design and manufacturing company based in Savar, Bangladesh, with its own showroom. Their workforce is engaged in hands-on woodworking, which posed challenges for accurate attendance tracking and workforce oversight.

Previously, attendance was recorded manually, causing delays, inaccuracies, and inefficiencies in monitoring employee hours and shifts. To improve operational control, Urban Furniture sought a reliable biometric attendance system.

TIPSOI ENHANCES ACCOUNTABILITY ACROSS 14 PANDAMART HUBS

Pandamart is a leading one-stop-shop in Bangladesh, offering a wide range of products, from shampoos and cosmetics to snacks and fresh produce. They operate 14 hub locations, including 11 in Dhaka and 3 outside Dhaka, where employees collect and deliver customer
orders. Timely arrival of delivery personnel is crucial for customer satisfaction.
Pandamart recognized the need for efficient workforce management to ensure on-time deliveries and smooth operations, leveraging their infrastructure and customer base for ondemand grocery and daily essentials delivery.

PROBLEMS / CHALLENGES

Before implementing Tipsoi, Pandamart faced several workforce management issues related to their delivery personnel across 14 hubs:

  • Manual Attendance Tracking: Attendance was recorded manually, causing frequent discrepancies and inefficiencies, making it hard to track timely arrivals and departures accurately.
  • Lack of Real-Time Monitoring: Supervisors couldn’t track delivery personnel across multiple hubs in real-time, limiting control and efficiency.
  • Monitoring 60–70 Employees Across 14 Hubs: Managing consistency and accountability was cumbersome for the central management team.

SOLUTION
